Just as correct stock management is important to bodyshop profitability, so is product application and utilisation. Mitchells recognise this situation and employ a Technical Demonstrator to work alongside product manufacturers to keep our customers up to date. Our Technical Demonstrator's tasks include:

  • Product Application Techniques - making sure that the latest techniques are in use and updating where necessary

  • Product Familiarisation - ensuring that all bodyshop staff are aware of new products or of existing products that can improve overall efficiency and profitability

  • Assessing Skills Levels - From these assessments, our demonstrator works out a training routine, often with manufacturer's own technical staff, to correct any imbalances in the operatives' skills

  • Examining existing and future equipment requirements - helping the bodyshop keep abreast of new legislation or new means of controlling costs.

  • Equipment Familiarisation - making sure that operatives are aware of the best way of using tools and systems, for example, dry sanding

  • Improving Work Flow (where applicable) - helping bodyshop managers and principles with layouts, alternative ways of working, etc.
